Prepending DNS Server in /etc/resolv.conf?

Hi, Whenever I get on a VPN, it prepends some new DNS servers to /etc/resolv.conf. I have dnsmasq installed (listening on 127.0.0.1), and I want that when /etc/resolv.conf is regenerated, 127.0.0.1 stays at the top in /etc/resolv.conf. In the past, doing the following works for me: sudo vi /etc/dhcl...

Bad Resolution and Issue With Kmod-nvidia for GTX 1050 ti

Hi, I installed CentOS 7.3 4 times today (along with GNome Desktop 3). Then, I noticed that as soon as I installed kmod-nvidia package from ELRepo and rebooted, it won't start properly -- either black screen or stuck at one of the service start line (no error as I can see). I did run nvidia-detect, ...

Re: Accidentally Formatted /dev/sda2

I also tried to restart and choose Rescue in GRUB menu, and it has loaded for 1.5 hours (still loading), and it says, "A start job is running for dev-mapp...device (1 hr 38 mins 48s / no limits)"

Re: Accidentally Formatted /dev/sda2

I did try to use a Live USB -> Troubleshooting -> Resue a CentOS Linux system.

Then, after it printed:
starting dracut initqueue hook

It just stays there forever (more than 15 mins at least).

Accidentally Formatted /dev/sda2

Hi, I installed CentOS 7 awhile ago with the default partitions. Then, I have /dev/sda1 and /dev/sda2. /dev/sda2 is Linux LVM. Today, I made a dumb mistake by mkfs.ntfs /dev/sda2 :((( Now, when I started up, I could choose the kernel version but then black screen. Anyway to rescue it without a full ...

Minimize all Windows?

Hi, I just installed CentOS 7. In the past, I could just hit ctrl+alt+D to toggle between showing and minimizing all windows. But for some reason, it does nothing now. I looked at Keyboard->Shortcuts, and I don't see any shortcut for toggling between showing and minimizing all windows. Any idea? Tha...

Stuck in Installation

Hi, I just downloaded CentOS-7-x86_64-NetInstall-1611.iso. And then I used LiveUSB Creator to create a bootable USB drive. And then I went to the BIOS to force it to boot from the USB drive. Then, after the screen printed: [ok] Reached target Paths. [ok] Reached target Basic System. It just stay the...

Anyone know any existing repos offer gnome 3.10 or above?
