Re: CentOS 7.7 breaks Dovecot, Pure-FTPd, Fail2Ban, Amavisd-new, and postgrey

I tried putting "DefaultTimeoutStartSec=infinity" in both "/etc/systemd/system.conf" and "/etc/systemd/user.conf" and using the "--no-block" command line option with "systemctl start", but that did not work.

CentOS 7.7 breaks Dovecot, Pure-FTPd, Fail2Ban, Amavisd-new, and postgrey

Just rebooted one of my servers after it updated from 7.6 to 7.7. Dovecot, Pure-FTPd, Fail2Ban, Amavisd-new, and postgrey all failed to start. If I run 'systemctl start dovecot' then Dovecot actually starts and works perfectly. I can access my email just fine, but 90 seconds later the start command ...

Re: Empty crypttab in initramfs

I ended up using the "add_device" directive in "/etc/dracut.conf" like so:

add_device+=" /dev/mapper/luks-89afb2bb-c8ac-4dd3-a565-b3f594c4acfb /dev/mapper/luks-9bf2b62c-f792-48e0-9549-b10aacd1707a"

Empty crypttab in initramfs

I enabled crypt in dracut.conf using 'add_dracutmodules+="crypt"' so now my initramfs includes cryptsetup, but crypt leaves me with an empty crypttab. I tried adding 'install_items+="/etc/crypttab"' to dracut.conf but that appears to happen before crypt writes the empty file. I ended up adding "cp /...

Re: systemd Starting Session

Appears to be a common problem. Only fix I have found is to run the command "/usr/bin/systemd-analyze set-log-level notice". You will also need to add it to /etc/rc.local so it takes effect at each boot. If you have not already done so you will also need to enable that file (as specified in the inst...

tmpfs/free wierdness

At first I found it odd that a 100mb file in tmpfs used 200mb of ram. But now I think free is just lying to me. [root@localhost run]# free total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 1048576 229996 818580 9192 0 136420 -/+ buffers/cache: 93576 955000 Swap: 262144 0 262144 [root@localhost run]# free -...

Re: Missing torrent

The Minimal ISO was not built until 7/17/14, while all the other ISOs were built on 7/4/14 and the torrents on 7/7/14. Perhaps whoever makes the torrents did not receive notification of the delayed ISO.

Re: Missing torrent

The 362M 7.0 NetInstall has a torrent, as does the 398M 6.5 Minimal.
