New Video Card

I'm running CentOS 6.3 Final and I'm replacing my bad video card with PNY VCGGT620XPB GeForce GT 620 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16. Will the native Noveau nVidia drivers work with this card? Or do I need to add some other drivers? :-( :-(

Re: Is It Possible To Do?

When we build servers at the job this is the way we do it, and there are reason for it: 1. You can control what part of the file system is being backed up when. 2. You can monitor file system growth and control it. 3. Since we never install anything except the OS in the default locations, control, c...

Install GUI Resolution To Low

I've started the installation and it appears that my GUI resolution is about 640x480. This means that at the network configuration step I can't complete because I can't see the bottom of the screen.

How can I alter the resolution to make it at least 1024x768?

TIA

Re: asm on lvm lv disks

I really can't comment on the use of ASM, but what I can comment on is the ownership/permission issue. I work at a shop that runs Oracle on Linux (mostly RHEL). The way we resolved the issue was to add the chmod and chown in the /etc/rc.local file. We've been doing this since RHEL 4 and didn't chang...

Why Not Have ...

I noticed that there are forums for CentOS5 but not CentOS6. Why is that? I've got a few questions concerning virtualization.

Re: How Do I Prevent?

I'll consider this solved because this machine will be Linux only.
