Re: C7 systemctl custom unit service

Update: Changing type to simple seems to work partly. The VMs start but then this happens at the end: Mar 16 17:34:49 host.corp libvirt_guests.sh[17174]: Domain test-vm started Mar 16 17:34:49 host.corp systemd[1]: libvirt_guests.service stopping timed out. Terminating. Mar 16 17:34:49 host.corp sys...

C7 systemctl custom unit service

Hi community, I've created a shell script to start and stop my VMs in the order and with the delay for each VM as desired: [Unit] Description=Custom libvirt-guests After=libvirtd.service #After=libvirt-guests.service [Service] #User=qemu #Group=qemu Type=oneshot ExecStart=/path/to/script/libvirt_gue...

C7 libvirt storage pool start time

Hi community, I have 4 storage pools configured (except for backup) for libvirt to autostart as seen below: 424G images 210G images_b 77G images_backup 926G images_d 1.6T total For some reason, the images_d pool takes a very long to start and thus delaying the auto start of the VMs. Does libvirt act...

Re: C7.2.1511 - System clock faster than hwclock and RTC.

Now things become clear. Your chrony.conf is misconfigured. You need to specify a real NTP server(s), not your gateway. For example: # These servers were defined in the installation: server 0.centos.pool.ntp.org iburst server 1.centos.pool.ntp.org iburst server 2.centos.pool.ntp.org iburst server 3...

Re: C7.2.1511 - System clock faster than hwclock and RTC.

After some more digging, I can make the necessary corrections using adjtimex and modifying /etc/adjtime but adjtimex can't be found within CentOS' nor EPEL's repos. Does anyone know where I can get it? Does anyone know why it was removed per:

Re: C7.2.1511 - System clock faster than hwclock and RTC.

Is chronyd (or another timesync) service running? Just chronyd. I think that's OOB. Should I disable it? Thanks. EDIT: Stopped and disabled has no effect either :?: : [root@host ~]# hwclock ; date Tue 17 May 2016 09:44:54 PM PDT -0.568041 seconds Tue May 17 21:44:56 PDT 2016 [root@host ~]# hwclock ...

C7.2.1511 - System clock faster than hwclock and RTC.

Hi folks, I have a problem and can't seem to resolve this. The server is on a bare metal using actual server hardware from SuperMicro. System clock is faster than the hwclock (which is accurate): [root@host ~]# hwclock ; date Sun 15 May 2016 01:50:10 PM PDT -0.963259 seconds Sun May 15 13:53:41 PDT ...

ubuntu 14.x as KVM guest

Hi folks,

Anyone able to run Ubuntu 14.x as KVM guest in C7? I'm having a tough time getting a stable guest (both desktop and server) going....

Thanks,

Re: wildfly 8 run as service

How can I verify that chkconfig is has the correct configuration other than chkconfig --list and if the system startup actually launches the /etc/init.d/wildfly script? EDIT: Some more debugging results: [root@d-c7-web ~]# systemctl status wildfly wildfly.service - SYSV: WildFly startup script Loade...
