[SOLVED] telnet only listens on IPV6 only.

I enabled telnet, /etc/xinet.d/telnet but when I look with lsof I see the following:

xinetd 1513 root 5u IPv6 12056 0t0 TCP: *:telnet

how do I configure it for IPv4?

Where can I find the log file?

gcc install fails

I tried to intalll the gcc shared support library but failed twith the message:
The package rpm is essential to correct operation and cannot be removed using this tool.
