Re: internet in hotels

Hi Andrew,

thanks for answer.
How to configure freeradius to block user if it is not authenticated?
freeradius must be able to tell gateway/proxy: block this user.
I would appropriate if you know some by hart or to provide some links.

Thanks & best regards,
Tomislav

internet in hotels

Hi, I noticed in hotels (payment) scenario: 1. you ask for password 2. password is generated to you 3. you connect to wireless network (which is opened, no encryption) 4. when you connect, you are directed to "home page" where you need to authenticate yourself with provided password 5. after authent...

Re: Watchdog device support

Hi Trevor, thank you for answer :-) Yes, I know that HP has that possibility but I am not interested in restarting only. Issue is that server can be overloaded and OS cannot detect hanging application always; that is why I think one external device could be useful. External device should work as wat...

Build own rpm package

Hi all, I would like to make RPM package for RHEL 5.3 x64. There are lot of manuals on Internet which are pretty detailed written. My requirements are not high, just to put some files and enter some man page(s). Also, I found some automatized tools (rpm builder and easy rpm builder). Can you please ...

Re: module copy on another machine

Hi Phil, thanks for info. Machine is not connected on Internet and some applications run on RHEL 5.3 so upgrading to newer version is not necessary. Regarding module: I am not getting it, can you please explain how it works? By default RHEL 5.3 doesn't support XFS at all, when you install xfsprogs i...

Re: module copy on another machine

Thanks guys :-) As I have RHEL 5.3 and do not plan to upgrade it I am happy with this solution. My colleague installed xfsprogs (xfsprogs-2.9.4-4.el5.x86_64.rpm) and told me that XFS support works without adding xfs.ko module. I am wondering how it works? There is no module in .rpm package. Content ...

module copy on another machine

Hi all, I downloaded kernel source for RHEL 5.3 and recompiled it to have extra module (xfs.ko). Then created xfs directory under kernel/fs/ and copied newly created module. With depmod -a module managed to recognize XFS partition and works well. The thing is that I have other computer with the SAME...
