Re: installing Nvidia driver
I don't actually see the bit where you said that you had run yum install kmod-nvidia - you did install it? Package kmod-nvidia-384.98-1.el7_4.elrepo.x86_64 already installed and latest version. The full list matching 'nvidia': kmod-nvidia-384.98-1.el7_4.elrepo.x86_64 nvidia-detect-384.98-1.el7.elre...

Re: jackd Modules for Pulseaudio
Link shown no longer works. The closest versions of pulseaudio-module-jack found elsewhere errored out on compatibility of sub-versions. So I upgraded my PulseAudio - now Version 10 - but, again, no matching "pulseaudio-module-jack" exists. Downgrade says it can't**? The Fedora versions, if they wor...

Re: installing mp3splt, libmp3splt and libtool on centos ERRORS
This software appears to no longer be available on ATRpms - at least for CentOS 7. Is there another repo with mp3splt (mp3 split)? Good news! This Fedora version worked for me: http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/24323641/dir/fedora_19/com/mp3splt-2.6-13.fc19.x86_64.rpm.html I downloaded it ...

Re: How to install MP3 player on CentOS?
I have alternate repos installed, but I still cannot get an mp3 to play. As this is the first hit off of google for "centos 7" "mp3 player" - could someone please post a how-to here on what exact steps are required? There must be a "groupinstall" or something, yes? Edit: Failing that, I found this: ...

Re: [SOLVED] Removing duplicate packages
Years later, I am in the same mess. Yum was not being updated when the problem occurred, and is not in the list of duplicated packages on my broken-box. Does this mean that "package-cleanup --cleandupes" only works on systems that do not have yum installed on them. Even picking through the DB manual...

Re: installing Nvidia driver
Like the OP, my Centos7 install utterly destroyed itself when the driver suddenly quit working I am still finding missing software to reinstall weeks later, and catching up on the lost sleep. I did not use bumblebee at that time - just manually switched in bios and rebooted when I need to add / remo...

Re: Coud not setup ZTE WCDMA Modem conn. - serial.parity err
Same problem here. Six months later, and not a single reply or even hint. I guess we just use a Windows Virtual Box - the usual workaround to CentOS and 3g modems since Version 6.x. Then you must set up your networking so you can connect out through the VirtualBox.

Re: sample media player for centos 7
I have epel, I still get "Requires: libass.so.5 ... " Where is that found? I understand about the copyright "intellectual property" issue - kidnapping extortionist thug cartel-mafia-enforcers down that road. But no reason not to have a one-click install that sets up basic audio and video through wha...

KGTK Package ?
I am having trouble finding a package which provides kgtk for Centos7. Is there one available?
I cannot use Meld (cannot browse to a directory - a known issue which can be fixed with kgtk-wrapper), and this may be the reason for errors using "nm-connection-editor".
Thanks in advance,

3G Modem Setup Procedure
I have two 3G modems (ZTE and Huawei), neither of which is recognized upon connection. Both work in Windows, and I can share the Internet connection from a Virtualbox as a workaround.. I am using the KDE desktop. For clarity, lets start with this modem, as lsusb shows it: Bus 003 Device 010: ID 12d1...
