centos and oracle

Hello! I've got a Centos server running fine, and I would like to install Oracle. I don't know if I could install Ora11g or any other version on my Centos. What can I check what version of Centos have I installed?

Solved! If I made a, yum search php I saw that there is an update for php-mysql386, so, yum install php-mysql.i386 (or something like that) After that, I could use the mysql_connect function. By the way, I installed before apache, php, mysql, with: yum install httpd yum install php yum install mysql...

Hello! I installed centos, and apache with php, mysql. When I made a yum install php, it told me, php-5.1.6 installed and latest version. But I need mysql_connect function form php, and php-5.1.6 doesn't recognize, so I need php-5.3.1. What's the best way to install, or furthermore, to update from 5...

If I disable the firewall, it works fine!!!!! So, I think I must configure the firewall in a suitable way.
