Re: Redirects in virtual hosts maxing out CPU

I just thought I would follow up in case this helps anyone else. I was mistaken - the virtual hosts weren't causing my CPU to max out at all. It was the PetalBot that was draining all the resources. I blocked them by adding the following to my .htaccess: BrowserMatchNoCase "PetalBot" bad_bot Browser...

Redirects in virtual hosts maxing out CPU

Hi, I am running Apache 2.4.6 with PHP 7.0.33 and MariaDB version 5.5.65 on Centos 7.8.2003. I am using redirects in virtual hosts to direct the naked domain and http to https:/www. I am finding that the CPU is maxing out. If I disable the redirects, the CPU returns to normal. My config is as follow...

Samba PDC headache when migrating from Centos 6 to 7

Dear All, I apologise for the long post but I am having a real headache. I have been running a Samba 3 PDC on Centos 6 without a problem for the last few years. We are a small company with two users. Samba provides a login that automatically connects to a roaming profile, home directory and several ...

Re: IP Forwarding disables when rebooting Network Service

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. I've checked that out and everything appears to be in order. There is something which is disabling it when stopping the network service. I'm going to try reinstalling the server and see if that helps.

Thanks again.

IP Forwarding disables when rebooting Network Service

Dear all, I have recently installed Centos 5.4 on a server with 3 network cards. I am trying to enable IP forwarding which has been successful by executing the following command: echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward I tried to make this permanent by adding net.ipv4.conf.default.forwarding=1 to the...
