Re: USB issues: device descriptor read/64, error -110

Sorry for double-post, but the forum won't let me edit my last post.

Solution to my problem was to remove a USB NIC i had plugged in.

Re: USB issues: device descriptor read/64, error -110

Considering this is the first page that comes up, I think a solution to this problem is required other than what you've suggested. I'm investigating it now. My problem descript: unsafely removed USB device from Mac OS X 10.6.7 machine, plugged into Aus 701 eee pc, USB device failed with usb 1-2: dev...

Configuring files a user can view (FTP)

Okay so I have to give FTP access to some clients to our shared webhosting box. Let's say we have two clients; Alpha and Beta. We have six websites (Website => Client); qoop => alpha epicxtc => alpha facebook => beta carsales => beta centos => beta As you can see, qoop and epicxtc belong to Alpha. F...

Re: Anaconda un-mounting DVD from external drive

Embarrassingly enough, a coworker used a non-rewritable DVD to install CentOS on the machine and it worked. Not sure why, strange fix. I'm going to test out this fix at a later time.

Re: Anaconda un-mounting DVD from external drive

No problem. it already has 5.3 installed but it's been used by a developer and we're required to do up-to-date, clean installs before being deployed to clients. So I booted the developers system and plugged in the cdrom drive. Got the address not connecting thing. Ended up typing something like "mod...

Re: Anaconda un-mounting DVD from external drive

The ks.cfg file is actually on the disk, I also attempted to do an install but the CD wasn't detected. In plainer English, I've; 1. Told the prompt to look at cdrom:/ks.cfg to no avail 2. Progressed with the cd installation to no real avail either, however I will retry later. So I believe the proble...

Anaconda un-mounting DVD from external drive

I have an external DVD burner hooked up to an EEE PC 701SD. The disk has worked on a dell desktop computer, and a 701 (the first eee pc which I built the install on) without a problem, however when I boot up the install disk on the 701SD, I get a message telling me it's unable to download the kickst...
