Re: no graphical login after update -/- Plymouth Boot Screen

Well that is an ancient video card so solutions from 2014/15 might still be applicable. Switching to a different desktop won't make any difference, that's the video driver used by all of them that will not load. Do you have an /etc/X11/xorg.conf? If so, try renaming it to something different, not a ...

Re: Putting back nouvean driver

Yes, that. You have to run the install under the running kernel for the running kernel. So boot the new kernel, switch consoles using Ctrl-Alt-F2, login as root, run the .run file, reboot into the same kernel that you were just using.

Re: How to resize root partition removing default /home

That does not look like the partitioning done by default. Is this a VMWare VM by any chance?

Well here's a similar error though on Ubuntu so you'd need to check the solution is applicable:

I've not managed to disable BLSCFG at all. I tried, it reverts it for you.

What is the output from rpm -qa grub\* ?

Re: Plugin 'InnoDB' registration as a STORAGE ENGINE failed.

How did you "update to the Mysql 1.4"? Whatever mysql 1.4 is? We supply mariadb 5.5 for CentOS 7 not mysql so where did you get "Mysql 1.4" from? BTW, there is no mysql 1.4 and I'm not sure there ever has been in living memory. When I first started eith RHEL in 2006 the current mysql version was 3.23.

Re: Every cron entry twice

I see a total of two, one of them for /us/sbin/crond -n, and the other for egrep.
Then you didn't cut and paste my command properly. The reason for "grep [c]rond" is to stop the grep from appearing in the output.

tmpfs 147M 84K 147M 1% /run
Check that again when the problem exists.

Re: failed to open runtime journal: No space left on device

Are you sure it has enough space? The default location for teh journal files is under /run which is a separate tmpfs filesystem and can easily fill up. The default size of the journal files is set from /etc/systemd/journald.conf - look at RuntimeMaxUse=, RuntimeKeepFree=, RuntimeMaxFileSize=. You'll...
