Re: DNS MX record change

Well I can show you (obscured) ours but they point to mimecast before the mail goes off to O365:

Re: DNS MX record change

You want an MX record. And you probably want two of them, with different weights, both pointing to different MS servers which they presumably tell you. You may also want TXT records set up for SPF and maybe also stuff to do with DMARC.

Re: IPA does not start at boot

You need to explain to your boss/employers that the current version is out of date, unsupported and will never receive any updates. It's akin to running Windows XP - would they do that?

Re: Installing PHP 7.1 packages on CentOS 7.9 (2009)

You already have php 7.2 from IUS installed. Are you sure that nothing is using it? If nothing is then yum remove php\* to remove all php* packages then yum remove ius-release to uninstall the IUS repo then you should be able to install the outdated and reprecated 7.1 from the Remi repos. However, l...

Re: Installing PHP 7.1 packages on CentOS 7.9 (2009)

You cannot mix and match both Remi and IUS packages, they are not interoperable. Pick one of them and stick with it. Either remove all your current php 7.2 packages from IUS and replace them with the 7.1 ones from Remi or the other way around. Why are you trying to downgrade to 7.1 anyway? It's a de...

Re: IPA does not start at boot

CentOS 6 is dead and has been since November 2020 and you should get off it ASAP. For that reason, your best path forward would be to set up a test system on a newer operating system and migrate your setup over to it.

Re: Unable to ping any IP address from CentOS 8 VPS

Show an example of being able to ping "by domain" and not "by ip". Do you get results from `ping 8.8.8.8`?

Re: Unable to ping any IP address from CentOS 8 VPS

By "able to ping domains" I presume you mean you can e.g. ping google.com? How about if you then ping the ip address that that domain resolves to? Because otherwise it makes no sense at all.

Is the 'x' in x.97.169.30 and x.18.255.239 the same value? What is the netmask on your current interface?

Re: Ports opened for SMTP (587 / 465), still cannot connect

You don't need to (and should not) open ports in firewalld to allow outbound connections to other servers. Those are allowed by default and aren't done that way. If you cannot connect to the server on those ports from your own machine then it implies that either the site in question isn't listening ...
