I would say: no. Using dd for each partition allows also copying UUID's and others. Elseway you would have to deal by hand with all this stuff. I kow that in ext4 you can dd one partition to a bigger one, then increase the filesystem you just copied to fit all the place. If it is the same with xfs, ...

I use to dd my disks when I need such a transfer. It takes times and works fine. It works also if the new disks are larger than the old ones.

Whatever I don't know it it is possible with xfs filesystem.

And have you any reason to use filezilla server instead of the regular nice and easy vsftpd ? Filezilla has no interest for ingoing files.

Did you try to start in text mode, i.E. level 3 ?
