Does a GUI menu editor exist for CentOS 8?
I do not see a GUI menu editor for CentOS 8, like alacarte for CentOS 7, or possibly menulibre. Does one exist ?

Re: Leaving CentOS as a viable OS
Who said anything about a file structure ? You did. In: ... the user to specify in what partitions of a user's hard drive various mount points should be mounted ... As I explained I could not originally figure out in the installation program how to set up mount points for partitions on my hard driv...

Re: Leaving CentOS as a viable OS
"It's for adults only" - I LOLed. It sounds like OP would be happier in ubuntu land. I haven't looked at Cent8. I'm waiting for the STIG to be released. But 7 is still supported. So use 7. The kinks will get worked out of 8, then move to 8. Anaconda is difficult to learn, and not for the faint of h...

Re: Leaving CentOS as a viable OS
If EPEL, or anyone else, can build a graphical package manager for CentOS8 I will use CentOS8. EPEL will be populated over time, i.e. it needs some time (and requests from users) after a RHEL/CentOS release before a good amount of packages is offered there. This was the case with CentOS 5, CentOS 6...

Re: Leaving CentOS as a viable OS
I have discovered that CentOS8, at least at this juncture, has no graphical package manager. In CentOS7 I used yumex CentOS 7 did not had a graphical package manager, too. yumex is not part of CentOS 7 resp. part of the CentOS repositories, but is distributed by EPEL for CentOS 7 instead. but it do...

Re: Leaving CentOS as a viable OS
/boot problem can be related with /boot/efi CentOS 8 is a little crude as a desktop OS (even as a server, no awstat, buggy nagios check_disk) but i´m using it without problem I am sure CentOS8 is usable. But going from CentOS7 to CentOS8 means going from yum to dnf and whereas yum in CentOS7 had a ...

Re: Leaving CentOS as a viable OS
I could not figure out in the installer how to specify an existing partition as a mount point, so I thought this was impossible to do. Someone else has answered my question of how to do this at https://www.centos.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=71921&p=302369#p302369. I am sure the installation pro...

dnf graphical package manager
Is there really no dnf graphical package manager for CentOS8 ? Either yumex-dnf or dnfdragora or something else ? I know the former has stopped development but it is not like it did not work with dnf or that CentOS8 represents all the latest software in the world rather than stability, so that it sh...
