Re: tgt SAN Disk does not support windows2008R2 64bit OS (LUN appears and disappears on client))

I'm not familiar with the specifics of tgtd but one thing I notice right off the bat is that your server is missing updates from the past 2 years as you are on version 5.3 instead of 5.8. The first thing to do would be to get your system up to date. Then look in /var/log/messages and dmesg and see i...

Multi-NICs selection problem in the installation process

You've probably moved on at this point, but as this is one of the top results for "iBFT doesn't couldn't provide valid NIC MAC address" in google I wanted to provide a reply. The iBFT error message should actually be an INFO message and doesn't actually indicate an issue unless you're attempting to ...

Re: very odd stability problem

The first thing I would suggest would to be to disable any services that you don't need. If you're not using netfs or bluetooth then just turn them off. You can get a list of services that you're currently running by issuing the following command:
chkconfig --list | grep `runlevel | awk '{pri...

Re: Problem install unzip with yum
yum install unzip.i386
But I'd agree that you should probably reinstall at some point soon.

Re: Red Hat 6.1 final is out !!! when centos 6.1 ?
I'm sure if CentOS were to have a number of full-time computer scientists devoted to the project, as SL does, we would see releases much sooner.
