i had a similar building a server today and after rooting around the internet i found a query from a chap with an IBM machine where he had to disable usb

i was using a usb mouse so when i unplugged it and rebooted i now have a keyboard

alan/gerald many thanks you where 100% correct, i copied the cd rather than burning an image i've rectified this and the OS is now installed to run init level 3 however once the OS starts to load, the keyboard stops working suspect i'll post another query on this thanks to everyone who read my post ...

alan many thanks for your reply i've tested the md5 hash and they match so the download was ok apologies if this is a stu[id question but i assume i'm right that when i download the winrar file i unzipped it to a folder and then copied the files to a cd i've attached a screenshot of the contents of ...

Install problems with ISO

folks i'm trying to build a CentOS 4 server from the ISOs i downloaded but the machine won't boot from the CDs the boot order etc is ok as i can boot from a windows CD i tried is there an install file on the ISO image i can start rather than having to download CentOS 5? apologies if this is a naive ...
