I have had a centos 6.X box serving web pages for some time....recently apache stops responding to page requests. thanks guys.

I do recall NOW having to compile this beast the first time many years ago.


when I do the

./configure --with-mysql it tells me that it cannot find the compiler in the $path.

how can I fix this?

I see there is one on board.

where is the best place to have the daemons for the various nfs / portmapper things run at boot up.

for example

rpc.mountd, rpc.nfsd
rpc.statd, rpc.lockd , and rpc.rquotad


on the client would be the same idea.

I have the mount entered in /etc/fstab
