actually you can use CONFIGSERVER. i use it and people attempt and get blocked all the time. very configure-able.

ACPI - always a problem. especially if it flickers! i have always DISALLOWED acpi support if it does not work instantly right away. solve the problem when you actually accidentally trip across a solution.

DO NOT INSTALL WITH RAID IN EFFECT. as i recall, go ahead and get the drives raided IF AND ONLY IF they are genuine all hardware RAID. then shutdown and disconnect the lesser. then do the install. then reboot. check your install. make all changes etc. when done, re-connect and boot.

"The Issue i'm having is "Unpacking the source code"... likewise. i dont recommend compiling your own! use compliant hardware. run apt-get and yum, forget compiling except for some perl related mods.

install everything? thats ok if you are going to play around but i think its best if you decide precisely what you want to do first and then lay it out.. reason being is that you may have confilcting services. is... email... do you want to run sendmail with postgre or mysql? or use maildir! and, if ...
