What is your configuration are you explicitly listing allowed users, do you have SELinux enabled, what is your netfilter configuration look like?

I remember the service I set up was using fencing, so if one node crashed out, it would pick up automatically.
It did work, I tested it out and it allowed me to update the individual servers then move the quorum back to the first server.
You copy your config over to the secondary server.

You can use port 22 but change your ipchain to only allow ssh via your network gateway is one simple solution. Also, you can put in rate-limiting ipchain(s) in your INPUT, this way after x amount of tries they are blocked from 1 minute to anytime you wanted. I use this and have found it to be extrem...

The best way to go about this is to download it manually and install it, then you can create a short cut in your menu.
If you will need to create your symlink for java to work correctly as well. This is the way I have done mine it works great.
