Re: raid controller help

I might be in the wrong area. I have setup the raid array and am trying to figure out how to get my information from the existing hard drive over to the raid array. I installed the OS on the array and have verified that it's on sda. The old drive was hda. I'm not sure how I can just copy the data fr...

I just got a server that has an EIDE raid controller card that I want to plug it into along with another drive to setup RAID 1. I've already moved the hard drive over to the primary IDE on that server and everythi...

centos 4.6

I'm currently using the 4.5 line. With the recent RHEL 4.6 update, how soon do you expect we will see centos 4.6? I noticed that centos 5.1 was just released not too long after the RHEL 5.1 update.

Thanks.

Re: slackware/debian "adduser" script

I'm sorry I wasn't more clear. I was wondering if there was a way to get the adduser script from Slackware/Debian in CentOS. I'm aware of the options but that's what I was trying to get away from. I know there are various options including password but then I could just use useradd. I'm looking for ...

slackware/debian "adduser" script

is there a place to download or how to get the simple slackware/debian style "adduser" command that gives you all the setup options including passwd? right now the stock command simply adds the user and backend creates the default home directory. then you have to set the password separately. i'm loo...

Re: fail2ban help

so there are no fail2ban ninjas around here? i figure this would be a very useful server tool and i'd find some expertise in this place. i'm surprised i'm alone in this place trying to run this. is everyone else running denyhosts or just not bothering with anything at all?
