Re: mysql upgrade

RH/CentOS RPM are not build the same way than MySQL ones.

Look : http://blog.famillecollet.com/post/2008/04/19/mysql-5124-01rc

CentOS 5 version available in remi-test repo.

You also need the mysqlclient15 compatibility library for apps. build againts mysql 5.0 (php and others)

Re: Compiling PHP 5.2.3 fails

Ok, so you don't use the good configuration file for my repo (you use the one for Fedora). Use : http://remi.collet.free.fr/rpms/remi-enterprise.repo Or, better, install : http://remi.collet.free.fr/rpms/el5.i386/remi-release-5-2.el5.remi.noarch.rpm sqlite2 is available from my EL5 repository (rebui...

Re: Compiling PHP 5.2.3 fails

It seems you are using Fedora Core 5 ?

libsqlite.so.0 is provided by sqlite2 available in official Fedora Extras repository.

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/extras/5/i386/sqlite2-2.8.17-1.fc5.i386.rpm

Re: Compiling PHP 5.2.3 fails

This split solution is a Redhat/Fedora choice. php-common contains "common" stuff, some directories and extensions which have no dependencies (zip, dbase...). And php.ini php is the apache module php-cli is the command line tools (php and php-cgi) php-mysql is the mysql e...

My Apache server stop working after UPDATES

It seems that you are running a configuration file for apache 2.0 (mod_access is deprecated on apache 2.2). Look for a /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf.rpmnew a compare it to your config. I think that editing the httpd.conf is a very bad idea, because that prevent the update of this file. If you need to c...
For some reason my installation of apache (default off of cd for Centos 5) would not see the php off of your packages.
Can you tell me more about this ? Of course my RPM have been tested (under CentOS 5 with full updates). What extension have you installed ?
rpm -qa php\*[/code...

Re: Compiling PHP 5.2.3 fails

i've wrote some time ago a doc about this (sorry, but in french) http://remi.collet.free.fr/index.php?2006/02/09/110-acces-aux-bases-de-donnees-oracle-en-php You need to add oracle libraries to LD_LIBRARY_PATH for apache. The best solution seems to edit the /etc/sysconfig/httpd to add something like...

Re: CentOS MySQL Installation

Federated storage engine is not enabled in Redhat/Fedora/Centos release.

You can try my build of latest MySQL Community Server with most storage engine enabled.
