Installing MediaTomb on Centos 5.2

I'd like to get MediaTomb installed on Centos 5.2
http://mediatomb.cc/

They recommend doing a yum installation if you're on Fedora Core but nothing about Centos (http://mediatomb.cc/pages/download).
Anyone had any success installing MediaTomb on Centos 5.2?

Re: Webcam frame grabbers

I see that there are currently 104 views on my topic but no replies, so I'll assume there's some interest. I've found a solution to my problem. camE will grab a snapshot from a v4l source and it's working well for me. For more info on getting this setup visit: http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/packages/camE...

Re: Webcam driver compiles on 64-bit but not 32-bit

Okay, you got me thinking.... So I ran 'yum install kernel-PAE-devel'. I didn't even know that was a valid package. Afterwards, I tried to compile again but got the same error so I went into the /lib/modules/2.6.18-92.1.17.el5PAE, removed the existing link to 'build' and re-linked it: ln -s /usr/src...

Re: Webcam driver compiles on 64-bit but not 32-bit

I thought I just had to 'yum install kernel-devel' and yum would install the appropriate one. Anyways, here's the output. [root@dogstar ov51x-jpeg-1.5.7]# uname -rmi 2.6.18-92.1.17.el5PAE i686 i386 [root@dogstar ov51x-jpeg-1.5.7]# rpm -qa kernel\* | sort kernel-2.6.18-92.1.17.el5 kernel-devel-2.6.18...

Webcam driver compiles on 64-bit but not 32-bit

I install Centos 5.2 64-bit this morning and after installing the kernel-devel package, installed a driver for my webcam. Info, source and installation instructions are here: http://www.rastageeks.org/ov51x-jpeg/index.php/Main_Page Everything worked beautifully, but 64-bit Oracle is very challenging...

Webcam frame grabbers

I recently installed Centos 5.2. I had 4.x some time ago and used streamer to capture a frame from my webcam and post it to my website every minute through a cron job. With 5.2, streamer is no longer installed by default and I'm not sure if I should be messing with trying to get xawtv installed, as ...

Adding SMP support to kernel

Is there a simple way to add SMP support to my Centos 5.2 installation?
I'm running 2.6.18-92.1.10.el5
I have an Intel Pentium E2180 dual core CPU.

Thanks.
