I may be able to do that, but the users are not gonna be able to, or can I do that to a directory and then move the directory? will the permissions apply to any files or folders created in that directory afterward? thanks for the response, I looked at the man for chown, then chgrp and it gave me an idea how to do what i wanted a little easier...I added the users I wanted to the group of the current owner as that group had all the permissions i wanted the main users to have....:-)

software raid after installation?

Hi all

Just curious if I can add another drive to a system and setup software raid after the initial installation is completed? And if so, can someone point me to a resource that would explain how to do this? I'm not an entire Linux noob, but have never messed with raid in linux...
