Re: Is there a command line tool to reset screen resolution?

Thanks, i'll check solutions.
In fact i tried system-config-display, IIRC, though without parameters, and then it's GUI unable to start for obvious reasons. As for Ctrl+Alt+Numpad+/-, won't it require the X-session already been open?

Is there a command line tool to reset screen resolution?

Subj. I run into problem when i set too large screen for given color depth. All i could do was to set runlevel to 3 and run startx to get by a chance to change resolution, but it just seems weird.

Oracle 8.1.7 and CentOS 4.4

Is there anybody with some experience installing 8.1.7 on Centos 4 (4.4 particularly), RHL AS 4 or alike, who could tell if there's something specifical and what?
TIA

Re: yumex throws a "Error in yum setup"

Well, since i was at the very begining, it was easier to me to reinstall. I didn't use up2date (or whatever it was), only yum, and that did it. I suspect some interference between them. If i have leisure, i'll explore further, but, for now, yumex is working fine enough.
Thanks to all!
