Not only are there no binary packages for the community, but they havent even bothered to post a link to the source on the download page. Why they do this, I dont...

How-To: Upgrade to MySQL 5.0.36 w/ RPMs on RHEL/CentOS 4
Let me start by saying, yes, I know that MySQL 5.0.36 isnt on the download page yet. Thats because this is an enterprise-only release under the Monthly Rapid Update program. That said, there is absolutely nothing preventing the build of this version as a community release. As with my releases of...

PCRE library version error
If you have both pcre & pcre-devel already installed then when you run the rpm -Uvh on the 6.6 RPMs you need to specify both as arguments not one at a time.

Re: which repo provides imagemagick?
Well, 6.2.8 is in FC6 so you could rebuild the src.rpm for that, but you would need a few dev tools installed to do it.

Re: 64-Bit LBA SATA Controller
I use a 3Ware 9590SE-16ML for my storage needs. It will work under RHEL 4u4 & CentOS 4.4 out of the box. Older versions will need a driver disk.
