Re: Centos 9 Stream installer doesn't recognize hard drive
One "problem" is that ELRepo does not support Stream kernels. The driver is probably available from the CentOS kmods SIG.

Re: Centos 9 Stream installer doesn't recognize hard drive
Your SCSI is one of the adapters whose support has been removed in RHEL-8 (therefore CentOS-8). Please see the details in this ELRepo blog.
While on CentOS 7, run a command "lspci -nn" to find the device IDs [xxxx:yyyy] for the controller. Then we can identify the driver you need.

Re: Future of CentOS???
The statement "CentOS Linux will end its life in June 2024" is correct.
The only "CentOS Linux" still running is CentOS Linux 7 which will end its life in June 2024.
CentOS Stream 8 and CentOS Stream 9 are different beasts and will continue to exist as explained in this thread.

With the 6.0.3 kernel, CPU Ryzen 5 5600G it freezes after the centos "loading" line reaches the end. If I put same disk inside a ryzen 5 3600 CPU (which I think is older), it boots fine. If you'd like to find where the "breakage" occurs with Ryzen 5 5600G, you can try installing a few earlier versi...

Re: Kernel Update - Help me about unknwon script
If you decided to use kernel-ml instead of the distro kernel, you 'd want to set up elrepo by running: yum install https://www.elrepo.org/elrepo-release-7.el7.elrepo.noarch.rpm Then you can install kernel-ml packages by running (for example): yum --enablerepo=elrepo-kernel install kernel-ml-devel

A good number of groups are hidden. Try running yum group list --hidden .
