Re: WARNING: at fs/dquot.c:814 dquot_claim_reserved_space()

Nothing different about the hardware setup. I follow a checklist when setting them up so as to keep them consistent. Thanks for chiming in though. I've been beating my head against the wall trying to figure this one out and have gotten nowhere.

Re: WARNING: at fs/dquot.c:814 dquot_claim_reserved_space()

Not trying to be obnoxious with my forum posts. Just not getting any response on the other forms. So just trying another forum that a more knowledgeable person might be reading. As for your question, all my VMs are CentOS 5.6 using ext4 file systems with quotas. Update levels are configured identica...

WARNING: at fs/dquot.c:814 dquot_claim_reserved_space()

I have a CentOS 5.6 x64 server getting TONS of these errors showing up in the syslog. Not sure exactly what is causing them. I have run file system checks on all the ext4 partitions and they came back clean. The host is running in a VMWare ESXi virtual machine, with its virtual disks residing on VMF...

Re: Severe perofrmance problem requiring reboots

No, and no. I am running on EqualLogic storage arrays. Other servers on the same physical storage with the same or similar configuration as this one are not having any noticeable problems.

Severe perofrmance problem requiring reboots

I am not really sure exactly how to describe the problem I am having so I will try to provide some of the symptoms. I am having a reoccurring (and seemingly random) problem where a server of mine becomes virtually unresponsive. I can SSH into the server and some commands execute properly and some ju...

Re: DNS caching server config

I suspect that the problem is related to the fact that I don't have the address of the domain controller, 192.168.1.21 in the list of forwarders. But I don't want any queries going to this address except for the mydomain.local domain. Any comments or advice?

DNS caching server config

I have a Bind DNS caching-only server setup that is working. I am bringing up a new AD domain controller that will also be a DNS server for that AD but I don't want it responding to any DNS queries except those that are AD related. So, my goal is to leave this caching server as the primary DNS serve...
