From the command line, try this -

yum groupinstall KDE

and/or

yum groupinstall "GNOME Desktop Environment"

I would recommend using yum extender (yumex) - I don't have my CentOS box in front of me but that would make installing packages simple.

If you wanna do it from the command line all you need is -

yum install httpd

and

yum install bind

framebuffer during boot?

Hi -

Got monstrous huge monitor now and would like to enable framebuffer support during boot. Can I do this without recompiling the kernel? If so, how?
