help, server down and cannot kick start it

Hi all,

We've got a server down that just won't start networking no matter what. It's running 4.5 but this is the error we're getting when we try to start networking:

an inet prefix is expected
RTNETLINK answers no such device

I've tried everything. Any ideas where to look?

Problem Solved

Ok, for those of you who are looking for this solution, use the Single CD server install for 4.3. Apparently it already has the megaraid sas drivers in it. Just so you know. At least I booted to this version and voila, there it was. Up and running.

Ok, here's the latest... I created a 4.3 single server install cd and booted to it. I can get it to see the floppy, but it loads it as sda and not fd0. I can also see the megaraid sas drivers on the floppy but when I get into the graphical install, it tries to install the os onto sda (the FLOPPY!) a...

Hi All, I may not have searched for the correct string but I didn't find much to help with my problem so I'm posting it. I have a new Dell PE1950 with the PERC5/i SAS hardware raid controller.
