Maybe i didn't update pear when i updated php. Two ways : 1) I'm using a class like phpmailer in order to use a smtp server It's a php work. 2) I'm using in php mail() function. Php send email to Sendmail. In fact i'd like this. Sendmail on my smtp box uses provider"s smtp.
I think i can configure Sendmail onto Centos like this, instead of working on php script.
Am i wrong ?

Send email throw php and provider's smtp

Hello,

I'd like to send email using php.
I installed Apache + php. Sendmail is running onto my centos box, but i'd like to use my provider's stmp server instead of Sendmail.
How can i do that ?
I'm newbie, thanks for help :)

Of course, but something like "yum install php-gd.i386" doesn't work because it needs php4 and i use php5. I got the same thing with MySQL. So i may not understand something, but what ... ? I've php installed on my Centos4 box, but configured without GD and MySQL.
How can i add them ?
I'm looking for the configure script : ./configure, but i didn't find it :(
