That error usually means that the initrd is missing or broken.
You can try rebuilding it, or boot an older kernel and un-install and re-install the failed kernel.

Plesk is a commercial package with paid support.
Plesk replaces CentOS packages with its own.
You need to use Plesk support.

Disabling root is a bad idea.

You cannot use an el7 repo with el6.
Remove the el7 nux repo and anything installed from it. Then install the correct one.

What did you do before you ran "yum update kernel"?
Your information indicates a fresh install followed by an update.

You have el5 el6 and el7 repos installed. That will never work.
