I dont know what kernel you are compiling but I never compiled a kernel before. And I was able to compile a working kernel using kernel 2.6.11.5 with grsecurity. I have zero errors and everything is working smooth. I hope this helps.

Ok I figured it out you cant have arptables_jf running with APF at the same time. Once I shut down arptables_jf everything works fine now.

APF (Advanced Policy Firewall) makes the system hang!

Anyone have any idea why APF (Advanced Policy Firewall) makes the system hang? If I disable it on the boot up everything is fine. And if I start APF once the server is running it works with no problem. It just hangs on the boot. Please help. Soulwatcher
