Re: SASL + Sendmail problems

Well I got a bit farther, but still no luck. First, I extracted the source with "rpmbuild -bp cyrus-sasl.spec" I looked through Debian's SASL2 diff, and made the following changes: --- cyrus-sasl-2.1.19....

Re: SASL + Sendmail problems

I reviewed the Debian diffs (which enable auth-sasldb by default), and they make the following change: +--- cyrus-sasl-2.1.19/saslauthd/configure.in 2004-03-21 12:40:16.000000000 -0 500 ++++ cyrus-sasl-2.1.19.new/saslauthd/configure.in 2004-03-21 12:39:44.0000 00000 -0500 +@@ -77,7 +77,7 @@ + AC_DEF...

Re: SASL + Sendmail problems

I modified the cyrus-sasl.spec file as follows: Line 9: %define includev1 0 Line 288: --enable-auth-sasldb \ Using rpmbuild -bb cyrus-sasl.spec I get the following: gcc -I/usr/kerberos/include -I/include -O2 -g -pipe -m32 -march=i386 -mtune=pentium4 -fPIC -I/usr/include/mysql -pipe -m32 -march=i386 ...

Re: SASL + Sendmail problems

I'm in the same boat, I'm the one who commented on Centos 4 not allowing auth vs. a SASLDB. SASL itself is ready, but what needs to be rebuilt is saslauthd. Once it is, you set MECH=sasldb in /etc/sysconfig/saslauthd. I've gotten as far as you have, the last bit holding me up is saslauthd supporting...

Re: SASL + Sendmail problems

make -C /etc/mail service sendmail restart Also, check out /etc/sysconfig/saslauthd (might be .conf). It will tell you the mechanism it uses to check passwords. I think it is PAM by default. SASLDB is not supported by default (in fact I'm having difficulty rebuilding the RPM to support it). You can ...

Apache2 UserDir Activation (SELINUX)

Enabling UserDir under SELinux is covered in the version 4 release notes -- I knew I'd read it somewhere but couldn't find it again, so apologies for the delay.

Basically you use these commands:

chcon -R -h -t httpd_sys_content_t public_html
chcon -t httpd_sys_content_t public_html/index.html
