Re: SSH Client Reset

I seem to be having this same issue. I have around 50 CentOS 6&7 VM's in our network. All of the VMs use the iptables for firewalld and have ssh port opened. Hosts allow/deny is set up and only allows IPs within certain IP ranges to connect to SSH. On most servers SSH connections are stable but on s...

Re: Dropping Connections

I'll do some googling on link flap etc. I was using different terms so maybe that'll get me what I need. There's nothing in the logs to indicate the interface has been brought down or disconnected. The connection simply stops responding to some or all IPs. It seems exactly like what you'd get if an ...

Dropping Connections

We're having a strange issue in one of our networks used for website hosting and email services. We have a number of Xenserver hosts each with any number of CentOS VMs. Within the VMs there maybe 1 or more public IP addresses using using eth0:1 to eth0:xx Up until recently these were all working nor...

Patch Available for DoS Vulnerability in BIND 9 Nameservers

Greetings.
I was reading this article:
http://threatpost.com/patch-available-for-dos-vulnerability-in-bind-nameservers/101523

I notice on CentOS 5.9 I have bind-9.3.6-20.P1.el5_8.6 rpm installed.

Does anyone know if the issue in this article applies to this version of bind?

Thanks!

nfs4_cb

I seem to get these same messages on my NFS4 host every few minutes.
I'm not sure if it's related, but the host machine seems to freeze up every so often as well.
The client server seems to have no trouble accessing the files and does not freeze up.

resolv.conf -- systems ignore secondary & tertiary nameserve

Greetings. I'm seeing a strange problem. I have a number of CentOS servers with latest 5.x I have 3 nameservers in the resolv.conf files. All 3 nameservers test out fine when checking for domain lookups. I'm having some trouble with ns1 and shut it down.l None of the CentOS machines fail over to the...

NFS Server + IP Tables

Greetings. I've managed to get an NFS server to work with IPTables but there's ONE last thing I'd like to adjust if possible. I'm limiting all NFS traffic to the local network. I have both IPTables and hosts.allow/deny set up so that if you're outside of 192.168.1.0/24 you're not able to connect. Th...
