The C4 instances have 36 cpu cores, the distro kernel in CentOS-6 only works with 32 cores, we are trying to work around this and get a kernel in that can run 36 cores; once we have that, we will get the c6 and c7 images up with c4.* support.

The only way to reset passwords and to get access on the new site is going to be via email, so everyone should make sure their registered email address's are valid. If not, you will need to create a new account

you should be able to disable Avatars once you login, did you try that ?
