Re: Users Login and logout report

$ man last
...
-t YYYYMMDDHHMMSS
Display the state of logins as of the specified time. This is useful, e.g., to deter‐
mine easily who was logged in at a particular time -- specify that time with -t and look
for "still logged in".
and no -s in sight.

Re: Users Login and logout report

This is not about CentOS vs. Ubuntu. It's just that CentOS 7 happens to have an older version of util-linux. E.g. last in CentOS 8 Stream has the same options as in Ubuntu 18.04. On CentOS 7, you can filter the output with gawk. See 9.1.5 Time Functions in the GNU Awk User’s Guide.

Re: where are the pandoc templates?

pandoc in EPEL does provide templates, just not the gfm one: $ repoquery -l pandoc|grep /templates/ /usr/share/pandoc-1.12.3.1/data/templates/default.asciidoc /usr/share/pandoc-1.12.3.1/data/templates/default.beamer /usr/share/pandoc-1.12.3.1/data/templates/default.context /usr/share/pandoc-1.12.3.1...

Re: ifuse Centos 8 stream

You are trying to build from a source RPM for ALT Linux. No wonder it fails. ALT and CentOS have very little in common. E.g. the package libfuse-devel in ALT corresponds to fuse-devel in CentOS, while libplist-devel and libmobiledevice-devel are at older versions in CentOS than in ALT. Besides, ALT ...

Re: Update Sendmail on centos 7.6.1810

By rebuilding from Fedora 35 .src.rpm. But why would you update Sendmail to the Fedora 35 version in the first place? Is the currently installed version lacking anything you need? BTW, the latest CentOS 7 release is 7.9.2009. That is what you have to update to first and foremost. By doing this, you'...

Re: weird ellipsize issues when piping to a file

this centos 7.9 Then you're posting to the wrong forum: this one is about CentOS 8. I cannot reproduce the issue with loginctl . That said, I quite often use |cat with other commands when I want to limit the output to 80 columns. E.g. $ dnf -q ls rpm Installed Packages rpm.x86_64 4.14.3-19.el8 @bas...

Why? Nux Dextop was never available for EL 8.
