Systemtap hangs target task?

I _think_ systemtap is locking up the target task. I am probing both .call and .return on a target user task e.g. probe process("mytaskname").function("*").call I am keeping count of how frequently various functions are being called. I have a timer every 2 seconds generating a report, and an end fun...

Re: systemtap problems

what happens if you have multiples of a package installed? I have access to a different machine where uname -r returns 2.6.32-754.23.1.el6.x86_64 and rpm -qa | grep kernel-dev kernel-devel-2.6.32-754.11.1.el6.x86_64 kernel-devel-2.6.32-754.17.1.el6.x86_64 kernel-devel-2.6.32-696.el6.x86_64 kernel-de...

Re: systemtap problems

I don't know if/how I can reboot into one of the others. Since most things tend to match the shorter number (which is what uname -r returns) I think anything with a different number was installed by mistake. I removed the ones with the longer, more detailed numbers.

Re: systemtap problems

Hmm... $ rpm -qa | grep kern | grep devel kernel-devel-2.6.32-754.24.3.el6.x86_64 kernel-devel-2.6.32-754.el6.x86_64 kernel-devel-2.6.32-754.23.1.el6.x86_64 This shows three different versions of the kernel-devel package, but ALL match the uname result: $ uname -r 2.6.32-754.el6.x86_64 Which doesn't...
