Re: How to move to new SSD without reinstall?

+1 for clonezilla. I've used DD in the past but clonezilla makes it much easier.

Re: Locked out by process using 100%

All Linux variants still become slow and unresponsive if given too much load, although it would be unusual if this was driven by a web browser. Could it be that your machine has been compromised?

Re: My server is sending SYN FLOOD attacks??

If your system has been compromised the only way to 'clean it up' properly and know that it is safe is to create a fresh OS install and copy your applications and data across. Re: Sym links in home folder

Don't forget if you add /home/scripts to the PATH then you will need to change the way those .py files are included in the subdirs. i.e. use a full-path include "/home/scripts/subdir/file.py".

CentOS is more stable and should be your first choice in a mission critical environment. The layout and naming of configuration files etc is more traditio...

CentOS 8 on AWS

Hi, I'm working on an application modernisation project that requires moving/consolidating 11 x CentOS 7 servers to AWS. Does anyone have any experience with the stability of CentOS 8 on AWS? There is no official AMI yet so should I take that as meaning it's not fully tested on the platform? Thank y...
