Re: Windows Key Search Feature Gone After Kernel Upgrade.

I also notice the left hand pane is no longer there either. When I press the windows key the left side pane would show up with clickable icons. This isn't showing up anymore. I reverted back to kernel 3.10.0-1127.18.2.el7.x86_64.

Anyone know if I can get this feature back?

Re: Does the Logitech C920 Pro Webcam Work With CentOS 7

Usually the Logitech webcams work fine in Linux, for example the Logitech C310 USB HD Webcam works out-of-the-box in CentOS 7. (I know this from first hand.) Good thing you posted this actually. What happened today was, I had to reverse the work I did last night to get my webcam working. I had to g...

[SOLVED] Walkthrough: Nvidia Card

My videocard freezes my machine randomly. I have been observing this for a few years now to try and pinpoint the issue. Last night I upgraded to kernel 5.8.0-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64 . When I first booted up, I opened up a terminal and within two minutes the machine froze. So the driver I'm using isn't ...

Windows Key Search Feature Gone After Kernel Upgrade.

Last night, I "upgraded" ( if that is the correct term, is that the correct term ?) to kernel 5.8.0-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64 . Before the kernel change, normally I would press the windows key on my keyboard and would type "term" or "hexchat" or "software" etc... and then the icon I was searching for woul...

Re: Does the Logitech C920 Pro Webcam Work With CentOS 7

Posting to an old thread here to add value: I got my webcam to work last night. I purchased this no name webcam manufactured in China from Ebay. When I plugged it into my Fedora laptop the device worked out of the box. When I plugged it into Centos7, the webcam did not work out of the box. To tell i...

Re: Does the Logitech C920 Pro Webcam Work With CentOS 7

I am in search of webcam right now. jim, on freenode said Logitec was good. But when I was on their website there was no option to select Linux as an OS.
A Centos friend on Facebook said the centos drivers are fine to run Logitech gear.

PPD Error | Printer

Hi there I am trying to install a printer. The process was going smooth until the last part when the OS tried to run the code. Here is the driver source code. Code wouldn't fit in post which is why I had to paste to https://pastebin.com/bfddEyJY I think I have to edit this file to give an asterisk f...

[SOLVED]Cursor Is Blinking

When I try to sudo vim a .conf file or run any httpd command, my cursor just blinks on the screen. The command doesn't go through. A couple guys on freenode said it could be hardware related. Any ideas? My webpages load fine. I can edit .html files in vim. I was thinking a reboot would solve the pro...
