Re: Some Youtube videos do not play on Centos 8

What browser are you using ? Most youtube videos now default to vp9 and fall back to h264 mp4 if vp9 is not available Open this page https://html5test.com/ under streaming video codecs you need to see a tick next to MP4 with H.264 support I just checked and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDcc0g03H2...

Re: Google chrome issue in CentOS 7 platform

Why are you trying to run a browser as root, my version of Chrome works fine if I run it as user.
If you are unable to create a user for some reason, I'd try another browser, the firefox binary works on puppy linux (root only OS)

Re: Where is my kernel ?

In answer to the original question, as root or sudo

Code: Select all

package-cleanup --oldkernels --count=3
will delete the oldest kernels and leave the most recent 3
To keep a maximum of 3 edit /etc/yum.conf line, to installonly_limit=3

Re: Turning networking on/off

I haven't used xfce for a long time but you could try installing network-manager-applet, it's a gnome applet but it integrates with fluxbox window manager panel so maybe it'll work with xfce.
