rsyslog rule creation
centos 7.9
Trying to create a UDP rule in rsyslog for syslog 20(local4)
I have the udp lines uncommented.
Now I am just trying to set up the rule. Never had to before, so I probably have it wrong.
I have:
local4.syslog20 /var/log/cisco
Thanks

Re: Blocking multiple macs in dhcpd.conf
I see where yours is different. You have blocked1 and blocked2. I didn't number them.

Blocking multiple macs in dhcpd.conf
Ok, so I need to block multiple macs from obtaining an IP. In my dhcpd.conf: host name { hardware ethernet (mac address); deny booting; } Seems correct, and for 1 entry, it seems to work, and dhcpd restarts fine. I add a second entry, exactly the same syntax, just different MAC, and dhcpd will not r...

Re: new user acl questions
Ok, thought I should come back to this. Found out it was entirely NOT my issue. Turns out it was some setting in winscp that was changed.

wordpress admin account problem
So, I have a wordpress server. I didn't set it up, and as usual, the previous admin left little documentation. One of the wordpress sites had an additional admin added and he apparently went in and did clean up. You see where this is going. It looks like he deleted my admin user so now I cannot acce...

Re: new user acl questions
Ok, well not cleared up. Affected user thought it may have been. So, there is still an issue. I'll describe it a bit more. They connect with winscp. They can read the file. They can apparently execute it with whatever program. But to do so, it sounds like the file has to be pulled off its location, ...

ntp authentication
Does centos 6.9 support ntp authentication?
I can't seem to find much on it. I find stuff for red hat, from red hat, but I hate how they describe anything.

Re: new user acl questions
I'll take a look. The issue seems to have cleared up, so it may have been something with the program they are partly accessing.

new user acl questions
I am trying to add acl for a new user, to a certain directory, without giving them access to prior directories. Now, I've done this before, and it seemed to work fine. I have added the person to the required etc/group, then I have gone to the parent directory, that contains the directory they need a...
